โรงเรียนจินตการดนตรีก่อตั้งขึ้นเมื่อปี พ.ศ. 2524 โดย คุณวันชัย จิราธิวัฒน์ ดำเนินการเรียนการสอน
เป็นเวลากว่า 30 ปี และได้ชื่อว่าสถาบันการเรียนดนตรีชั้นแนวหน้า ที่มีมาตรฐานการเรียนการสอน ที่ได้รับการรับรองถึงระดับประกอบอาชีพโดยมีกระทรวงศึกษาธิการรับรองประกาศนียบัตร และยังเป็นสถาบันดนตรี
แห่งแรก ที่ได้รับการรับรองจากสถาบันชั้นนำของโลกจาก 2 ประเทศ คือ สถาบัน Kawai ประเทศญี่ปุ่น และ สถาบัน Associated Board of The Royal Schools of Music ประเทศอังกฤษ รับรองมาตรฐานในระดับนานาชาติ
ด้านสื่อการสอน ยังได้รับความไว้วางใจ ในการจัดการเผยแพร่ตำราดนตรี การแปลตำรา และจัดการอบรมการใช้ตำราดนตรี จากสำนักพิมพ์ที่มีชื่อระดับโลก ทั้งสำนักพิมพ์ Alfred Publishing และสำนักพิมพ์ Hal Leonard Publishing และเป็นผู้จัดทำและเผยแพร่หลักสูตรดนตรีสำหรับเด็กเล็กที่เป็นภาษาไทย "หลักสูตร ร้อง เล่น เต้น ฟัง" และได้รับการตอบรับจากกระทรวงศึกษาธิการ ให้ใช้เป็นหลักสูตรสำหรับการอบรมวิชาดนตรีสำหรับครูปฐมวัยในเขตกรุงเทพมหา นคร

ปัจจุบัน สถาบันจินตการดนตรีเป็นหน่วยงานหนึ่งของ Central Marketing Group ภายใต้การอำนวยการของ
คุณพิชัย จิราธิวัฒน์ และมีอาจารย์ คเณศ พักตระเกษตริน ดำรงตำแหน่งผู้อำนวยการของสถาบัน

Chintakarn Music Institute was founded in 1981 by Mr. Wanchai Chirathivat. With 30 years of experience, it has been recognized as a leading institution in music academy. The high standard of teaching received a professional level accreditation from the Ministry of Education. It is also the first musical institution certified by the world's 2 leading institutions: Kawai Institution, Japan and Associated Board of The Royal Schools of Music, England.

About Learning Tools, the institute has been entrusted from the public to distribute and translate music books as well as to provide training courses for world-class publishers, such as Alfred Publishing and Hal Leonard Publishing. Chintakarn Music Institute is also the publisher of a well-known music course for young children “Sing-Dance-Play-Listen” which received an approval from the Ministry of Education to be used as music training course for early childhood teachers in the great city of Bangkok.

Chintakarn Music Institute, a division of Central Marketing Group, is now under the administration of Mr. Pichai Chirathivat, CEO, and Mr. Kaneth Praktrakhetrin, the director.
